Pierre Jean Larraqué, quintuple medal-winner in Bordeaux
Pierre Jean Larraqué was generously rewarded by the Concours de Bordeaux – Vins d’Aquitaine, on Saturday 4 May, 2019. With 5 prizes, including 4 gold medals, Pierre Jean Larraqué has confirmed his quest for excellence in the wines he produces and sponsors.
Vignobles Pierre Jean Larraqué continued to bring in the medals in 2019. Having already won 5 medals since the start of that year, Châteaux Barre Gentillot was awarded a Gold Medal and Château Le Virou obtained two Gold Medals for its Vieilles Vignes and Sublimus blends. More proof of the consistent quality standards Pierre Jean Larraqué applies to his different blends.
Cap Nature, a brand with HEV 3 certification and signed Pierre Jean Larraqué, has also been awarded 2 medals. Its single grape variety Sauvignon white Bordeaux picked up a gold medal, while the single grape variety Merlot red Bordeaux obtained a silver medal.
Distinctions that confirm the terroir revealer status that Pierre Jean Larraqué advocates on his brands and vineyards.
Organised by the Chambre d’Agriculture for the Gironde in the context of the Salon de l’Agriculture Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Foire Internationale de Bordeaux, this year’s Bordeaux competition hosted 857 wine professionals who tasted 3411 samples from 91 appellations.
